About the Building

Originally built in 1902 as the Commercial Trust & Savings Bank of DeKalb, McCabe’s has long stood as a cornerstone of downtown. With a grand Beaux-Arts facade and a legacy that once housed Masonic halls, hardware stores, and even McCabe’s Tavern, the building is a living memory of the city’s prosperity and pride.

Today, after five years of careful restoration, McCabe’s enters a new chapter—as a vibrant event and banquet center designed to bring people together once again.
